Per capita debt climbs to historic high of more than €2,700

  • The per capita debt rose to 370,354 lek (€2,728) in the first half of 2016 when the debt stock exceeded 1 trillion lek (€7.5 billion) and the country's resident population officially contracted by 0.22 percent or 6,276 residents to 2.88 million, according to the finance ministry and state statistical institute, INSTAT.
