TIRANA, May.23- The Council of Territory Regulation of Albania approved in its session the project to operate an industrial park instead of an industrial-energetic park in Vlora. The decision was taken in the session led by Prime Minister Berisha and includes the approval of the natural gas reserves of Petrolifera as well as 90 megawatt capacity thermo power plant. Berisha called upon the Chamber of Commerce of Vlora and the Municipality of Vlora to present a project for an industrial park as soon as possible because it would create employment opportunities for the area as well as develop the economy.
During this session, the Council approved the feasibility study to build an industrial park in Koplik, in the area of Shkodra with an area of 65 hectares. The study was conducted by a team of Italian experts and the land used for the park will be allocated under the initiative “Albania one euro since it is state property. Berisha called for changes in the legal framework of local taxation that has to include the industrial parks in order to attract foreign investors.
