Government to sell 40 percent of its shares of United Bank of Albania

TIRANA, May.30- The government has declared it will sell 40 percent of the shares it owns in the United Bank of Albania, currently valued at $8 million. The appraisal of the value of the shares was performed by the international “Deloitte” company. The approval of the sale gives the Ministry of Finance the right to begin seeking a potential buyer with a guaranteed reputation in the banking field. Offers from other shareholders of the bank have been very low and have not been accepted.
