Defendants sentenced to life and long imprisonment

TIRANA, June 10 – A prosecutor has asked a court to impose a sentence of life imprisonment and two sentences of 25 years imprisonment each for the murder of Behar Kastrati, a leader of the Democratic Party in the northern district of Has. The murder was committed immediately after general elections in July.
Kastrati’s body was found 40 days after he was last seen.
Qamil Rexha, Abedin Rexha and Ibrahim Geca were found guilty in the murder. (Tirana Times Staff)
