Potential suspension of visa-free travel for region’s citizens back on the agenda following concern by EU member states over spike in asylum claims.
TIRANA, Nov. 8 – EU’s highest internal affairs official has urged Western Balkan countries to act promptly to curb the rise in asylum claims in the Schengen Area, as some EU members are seeking the option to suspend the visa-free access all citizens of Albania, Bosnia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia gained by 2010.
