TIRANA, June 9 – The Albanian government has completed the additional answers the European Commission asked as it tries to rule on Albania’s EU candidate status.
Integrations Minister Majlinda Bregu is expected to travel to Brussels soon to hand over the responses of 180 additional questions. In late April the country handed over responses to thousands of questions and Brussels prepared within a month 180 additional questions.
Following the additional responses it is expected that EU experts will visit Albania to verify the information.
The EC has announced no timeframe, but Albania hopes to be granted the candidate status by the end of the year.
