CAPE TOWN, July 5 – International news agencies reported that Germany striker Miroslav Klose made his 100th international appearance on Saturday in the World Cup quarterfinal match against Argentina.
The 32-year-old won his first cap back in March 2001 against Albania when he came on as a substitute and scored the winner two minutes from time. Since then Klose has netted 50 goals for Germany.
He has also scored 12 World Cup goals in three editions to level Pele, three behind top scorer Ronaldo on 15.
