TIRANA, Oct. 25 – Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha telephoned Kosovo Prime Minister and leader of the governing Democratic Party Hashim Tha詠to congratulate him upon his re-election at the head of the Democratic Party of Kosova during the party congress held on Sunday.
Berisha expressed the determination to promote further the cooperation between the two countries, adding he expected the current problems in Kosovo would be solved in line with the Constitution and the laws of the country.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo reelected Thaci as its leader.
Thaci, who also heads the Kosovo Albanian government, was the only candidate for the top party position as delegates voted on Sunday.
After his reelection, Thaci said he believed his party would be victorious in the forthcoming elections in Kosovo.
