TIRANA, April 19 – Albania’s Civil Aviation Authority and Safegate Group held a conference Tuesday on how to enhance capacity, movement and safety at airports.
The new operational techniques to be applied at airports will make it possible to accommodate the increasing flux of passengers and meet EU standards on safety.
Tirana International Airport Mother Teresa, first constructed in 1957, is given by concession to the consortium Hochtief Airport, DEG Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft and the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund in 2005, which has built a new terminal according to all international standards.
