Counciling centers for trafficking victims opened at police stations

TIRANA, Aug 17 – The United Nations office in Vienna, Austria and France will fund the opening of a new office in all police stations in Albania to advise victims of the human trafficking, mainly women and children.
The deal was signed by the Interior Minister Bujar Nishani and French Ambassador Maryse Daviet.
Nishani welcomed the project and expressed readiness of the Albanian authorities to cooperate with the international actors.
Fighting human trafficking and efforts to integrate victims into the normal life remain goals of the Albanian authorities.
Human trafficking is still a serious issue in the post-communist country.
