TIRANA, Aug. 30 – All Albanian Muslims celebrated the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr on Tuesday. It marked the end of the holy month of Ramadan, which is observed by millions of Muslims around the world. The month of dawn-to-dusk fasting and extended prayer began Aug. 1.
All Albanian top leaders made visits to the Muslim Community in Tirana to respect the day.
All of them said words of compromise due to the day.
The U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton also sent a letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edmond Haxhinasto for the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Clinton congratulated all Albanian Muslim the feast of Eid, to go in peace and enjoy.
“This is an occasion to celebrate, where Muslims come together to reflect the important values of family, charity and community,” said Clinton, adding that appreciates the hard work of Muslims in every corner of the globe, including the younger generation, who are committed to strengthening the communities where they live through education, business and development.
