TIRANA, March 13 – Agronet, a project carried out under the IPA Cross-border cooperation on the establishment of a permanent logistics and distribution network and service infrastructure in the system of the food industry of the Adriatic region, was introduced in Albania this week. Introducing the project, ministry officials invited Albanian enterprises to register online on the Agronet website to become part of the network to benefit from the advantages of this network.
Dael Dervishi, the secretary general of the Economy Ministry said the project targets filling in structural, institutional and economic space which have become a barrier for the exchanges between small and medium-sized enterprises.
This project aims to achieve better cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises, in order to define common rules for the certification of companies and products that will be in compliance with EU standards, which will allow the first production of safe products, facilitate international exchanges of agro-food products , higher competitiveness of domestic firms in international markets, the establishment of innovative technologies, improving managerial skills of employees and companies, etc.
Italian, Croatian, Albanian, Bosnian and Slovenian regions and agencies are part of the 34-month EU-funded project, worth Euro 2.5 million.
