KORCA, Nov. 12 – The Korca district court on Monday decided to give 400,000 leks to the family of the 37-year old Gazmend Tahirllari who died in January 2002 after being tortured by police.
The family was very displeased saying that funeral costs were higher than the proposed compensation. They also said they would appeal the verdict. The family had asked for 25 million leks.
