Following discussions, Italian debt is rescheduled

TIRANA, May.22- Finance Minister Ridvan Bode signed an agreement to liquidate part of Albania’s debt to Italian companies and reschedule other debt accounts that the Albanian government had inherited. The Italian companies were Tergestea Srl, Trieste Inalca Spa – Castelvetro di Modena and Almed Srl.-Trieste. The representatives of Tergestea Srl thanked the Minister for the liquidation of the debt in the amount of 122,000 euros.
The activity of the former Foreign Trade entities that had accumulated a debt of 3.5 million euros was also rescheduled with the approval of the companies to forgo the interest rates of the late fees, given the 15-year lingering of this debt.
