Gov’t promises to fully pay for Zharrez damages

TIRANA, March 1 – Albania’s government has approved a package of measures that guarantees residents of Zharrez and surrounding areas that there will be a full compensation for all damages done to their homes from an oil extraction company operating in the area. The government’s decision sets deadlines for the assessment of the damages and fast and full financial compensation from the state budget and the oil company, Bankers Petroleum.
