Hundreds of passengers blocked at airport

TIRNA, Sep. 6 – Hundreds of Albanian passengers remained for days at the Tirana International Airport after two companies that were supposed to take them to Italy did not start their flights.
The Civil Aviation Authority suspended Italia Airlines that was blamed for not flying about 500 persons to Italy
As started operations in Albania in May this year. The company had also hired planes from another company operating in the country.
There were not given any reason why they could not raise their flights.
The Authority said they had no formal or informal communication on the reason of stopping the flights.
The Albanian authorities were in contact with their counterparts in Italy and also the Italian embassy to learn about the causes
