Imami visits troops in Afghanistan

TIRANA, May 11 – Defense Minister Arben Imami made a visit to the Albanian contingent in Afghanistan.
The Albanian troops are deployed alongside troops from Italy, Spain, US, Slovenia, Lithuania, Croatia and Britain.
Imami also met with the top military commanders there who highly evaluate the professionalism of the Albanian troops.
Albania has also another contingent of troops in Shindat, whom he hailed on phone.
During the trip he stayed transit in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, where he met with army chief of staff Gen. Al Rumaithi, whom he thanked for transiting the Albanian troops during their trip to and from Afghanistan
