TIRANA, Nov. 1 – Albanian doctors report that cases of lung cancer have increased considerably in recent years.
The physicians that deal the lung cancer cases at the Shefqet Ndroqi Hospital in Tirana, say factors such as smoking, diets and the high levels of pollution are the main reasons behind the increase in the number of patients suffering from the disease.
“There is an increase in the cases of pulmonary cancer. There is an increase in the number of smokers, in the pollution level and in the cases of drastic changes in diets,” said Ilir Peposhi, a pneumologist, according to the private television station Alsat.
