TIRANA, Sep. 6 – More than 600,000 Albanian children from six to 18 years old started their new school year Monday.
The new academic year started earlier as the government believes there will be more holidays during its time.
Pupils and students from the first class (about 42,000) to the high school last graduate year, filled the classrooms on Monday.
Tirana streets were filled, packed with cars making the traffic harder.
Police said they had taken extreme measures to secure a normal school day and also the traffic.
Police have set new steps on the security around schools.
