TIRANA, June 18 – Opposition Socialists on Wednesday accused Parliamentary Speaker Jozefina Topalli of the governing Democratic Party as falsifying documents to hide the truth on the March 15 blast in Gerdec near Tirana where 26 persons were killed and 300 others injured.
Erjon Brace of the Socialists said that Topalli on purpose had falsified parliamentary documentation to hide the implication of Prime Minister Sali Berisha in the state crime of Gerdec.
“We are convinced that Berisha and the Berisha family are linked to the (Gerdec) crime,” said Brace.
In an immediate reaction Topalli turned down the accusation calling it bluntly defamation. (Tirana Times Staff)
