TIRANA, July 5 – Following a recent dramatic increase in highway crashes, Albanian police have installed an integrated Scout system of speed cameras in the main highway linking the cities of Tirana and Durres.
The new system identifies the vehicle that breaks the traffic rules and the owner is sent a fine in the mail.
The new system is to work in the main national roads as they see higher traffic due to summer visits by Albanian immigrants.
