TIRANA, May 31 – Tirana decided that Russians will be able to travel to Albania on a visa-free basis.
That would be possible as of Sunday last week following an announcement of a spokesman for the Albanian Embassy in Moscow, speaking to reporters.
“According to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Albania in the term from May 30 to October 31, 2010 all Russian Federation citizens are allowed visa free stay on the country for tourist travel and private travel within 90 days”, a communication of the diplomatic mission says.
The visa-free regime is to be in place until November 2010, the spokesman added, citing the 90-day private and tourist trips Russians are allowed to make.
The aim is to lure more Russian tourists into visiting the crisis-hit Albania, the spokesman said.
Russians no longer need a visa to spend holidays in Albania
