Sauk Stretch road to get $1.7 million overhaul

TIRANA, July 23 – A national road used as a main entrance to the capital, Tirana, begins reconstruction after the transport ministry completed a tender, its press office reported Monday.

The 1.4 kilometer-long Sauk stretch will be rebuilt by Arifaj & Denis 05 company which was awarded a US $1.7 million tender. It will be widened to ten meters with two lanes and is supposed to greatly facilitate the movement of traffic into Tirana and out toward Elbasan.

Spit consulting company will supervise the project.
