TIRANA, April 17 – Albanian Muslim Community celebrated the birthday of Prophet Muhammad with an activity at the Palace of Congresses, where Prime Minister Sali Berisha also took part.
Muslims commemorate Muhammad’s birthday as one of the biggest dates in the history of mankind, as they consider Prophet Muhammad the Prophet of light, freedom and equality.
Berisha also mentioned the opening of the Beder University, launched only last week from the Muslim Community. Berisha guaranteed all religious leaders in the country that the government would do everything to support their mission to rebuild great spiritual values in Albania, where religion was banned for a quarter of a century from the former communist regime.
