The young Albanian fashion designer Merita Tocila introduced her work on the catwalk on Saturday in Tirana with her Autumn-Winter 08-09 Collection. This was the opening presentation of the Tirana Fashion Week held at the National Museum of History. There were thirty different outfits presented which were provocative, classical, romantic creations of the Tocila-Fashion company, not for every day wear, closer to the haute couture trends. The designer also tried to break out of the usual framework of a fashion parade by bringing onto the catwalk a model who was stark naked from the waist down and who represented Eve, the purest of symbols of femininity.
