Danger from summer fires

LUSHNJA, July 23 – Fire on Sunday destroyed two store places in the southern town of Lushnja. The building belonged to a private company in the flour commerce. Despite the firefighting efforts both store places were totally destroyed. Investigation has started to find the causes of fire.
SHKODRA, July 22 – A firefighter was wounded while he was trying to extinguish fire in Vau i Dejes, Shkodra district, that was threatening some houses nearby. The firefighter had serious wounds in the body of Pjerin Tahiri, 23, a firefighter and resident of Hot i Ri village. Despite wounds he stayed at the place until the fire was totally extinguished.
Another fire exploded at the psychiatric hospital Monday without causing victims but only slight damages.
KUKES, July 22 – An immediate fire engulfed Saturday a house in Shtiqen village, in Kukes district. The house belonged to Lulzim Hajdari. It was impossible to make anything to save the house from the flames. The firefighting service, however, manage to limit it and not let flames engulf other houses nearby. It is believed the cause of the fire was the electricity network. There have been six fire cases this month in Kukes. At one of them three persons lost their lives.
