POGRADEC, Aug. 4 – German ambassador Hans Peter Annen and Swiss ambassador Erich Pircher pledged their commitment to add investment from their countries into town of Pogradec and Korca as well. During a visit to the town on Friday they also checked their governments’ funding for a water supply system that will supply water non-stop to the town. Korca and Pogradeci are priorities in German investment and aid in the country, the German ambassador said. The Swiss ambassador said that this joint project would encourage other investment in the area in the future. German KfW bank and the Swiss Seco one have invested 21 million euros for the water supply system and the other networks in Pogradec. The water supply part of the project is expected to be completed in September.
