2005 Foreign Direct Investment amounts at $ 260million

TIRANA, Oct. 19 – Foreign Direct Investment in Albania in 2005 were $260 million, according to the World Investment Report 2006 published by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. The report said FDI in Southeast European region was $13.3 billion. Almost all countries reported substantial increases in their FDI flows with Bulgaria and Romania topping the list, given their soon-to-be realized accession to the EU. Macedonia ranked with a reported cut of 50 percent.
