TIRANA, Oct.31 – In a letter of complaint, Albanian business association, KonfIndustria expressed its discontent related to the draft budget 2007. Konfindustria said in the letter that the draft budget had ignored all suggestions they had made. In particular they listed measures required to lower the cost of domestic production in the agricultural industry, the improvement of fiscal policies and a better reconfiguration of the regulations related to the service economy. KonfIndustria expressed its concern that the Albanian consumer would be affected by the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA), thus the government needs to design better policies to assist in the process of adjusting to the new market regulations. Avoiding fiscal evasion and using tax collections to better purposes were also pointed out in the complain letter as necessary measures that need to be integral parts of the budget package.
