Chamber of Commerce publishes updated registration figures

TIRANA, Feb27 – The registering office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana made public data for the new registered businesses up until the February 27. Out of 775 registered legal subjects, 201 are VIP businesses. The figures are much higher than the previous year. The end f February of 2006 counted only 428 registrations out of which 32 VIPs. The new legislation requires all legal subject to be members of a chamber of commerce, enforcing the role of these agencies in coordinating the activities of the business community. The voice of the community is thus represented by an institutional organization that can protect their interests in a professional and organized way. The chamber of commerce targets to present the government the main problems of the business sectors so that the latter can design its economic policies accordingly.
