Global Economic Forum Report on Albanian tourism

TIRANA, March.19 – The Global Economic Forum released a report studying competitiveness in the tourism sector for 2006. In this study Albania was ranked 90th out of 124 countries examined, and last for the region. Greece has the first place for the region, followed by Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and then Albania. The report emphasizes that though tourism has been declared a priority sector very little investment has been seen in the field. The partner of the Global economic Forum in Albania that has helped with the report data has been The Institute for Contemporary Studies presided by Artan Hoxha.
