More passport application centers to open

TIRANA, Nov. 22 – Interior Ministry reported Monday that four new centers will be opened in four cities to accept fast application for biometric passports.
The four new offices of the Aleat company will be opened in Shkod첬 Vlor묠Elbasan and Durr쳮
Persons applying for fast procedure pay 15,000 leks from 6,000 leks the normal payment to get it in two or three days, from three to four weeks the usual processing timing.
There has been noticed a significant increase of the applicants after the European Union decided to lift the visas for Albania, that may likely start in Dec. 15.
But people are complaining of a delay, including those who have paid the higher payment for faster procedure.
