European lawmaker honored in Albania

TIRANA, Jan. 4 – European Parliament lawmaker Tanja Fajon was awarded on Monday the Dritan Hoxha prize, by the foundation with the same name, for her role in Albania’s visa liberalization process.
Foundation President Vjollca Hoxha described Fajon as “a Slovenian who has already won the hearts of Albanians”.
Dritan Hoxha was the founder and owner of the Top Media group who died in a car accident two years ago.
Fajon, EP rapporteur for Albania on visa liberalization, donated the 10,000-euro prize to a children’s organization
