TIRANA, Sept. 13 - The country's opposition Democratic Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration skipped Thursday's parliamentary session for the second week in a row, rather conducting their respective parliamentary group meetings in Durres.

In his speech, head of the DP Lulzim Basha stressed gambling games.

"Today, the parliament will reject the president's decree on gambling. Honest businesses pay 23 percent tax, while for casinos taxation is being decreased. The came boasting they'd close gambling centers, but they have actually increased. Ask Agron Xhafaj and Olsi Rama why this is happening. Starting tomorrow, the DP will publish shocking facts to show that Rama and Xhafaj have used political power to help bands take over gambling games and use them to launder cocaine and heroin money," Basha said.

Continuing, Basha said Prime Minister Edi Rama has been hiding in New York for the last five days for a reason.

"Rama is in New York to steal the territory of the Albanian Consulate there, as he will construct a high-rise building there," Basha concluded.
