Albania, Kosova sign deal on commercial standards

TIRANA, Feb. 6 – Albanian Minister of Trade, Economy and Energy Genc Ruli and Kosovar Trade Minister Bujar Dugolli together with UNMIK representative Andreas Wittkovsky signed Tuesday a memorandum establishing the technical cooperation at the institutions of standardization and accrediting. That is also part of the CEFTA rules where Albania and Kosova have applied to become full members.
Kosovar minister met also with Albanian President Alfred Moisiu. They spoke about the recent Ahtisaari’s package of Kosova’s future status. Moisiu evaluated the behavior of the Kosovar political class reacting to the package. Dugolli highly evaluated Albania’s investment in the Durres-Morine road project that will be a great assistance for the Kosovar population and business, but also to increase cooperation between the two sides.
