TIRANA, Dec. 13 – Albania-born forward Olsi Krasniqi is a well-known player at the Australian Super League. He has already helped England’s Academy to a 2-0 test series whitewash of the Australian Schoolboys.
Krasniqi, who came through Harlequins’ junior system after arriving in London as a youngster from Albania, made 10 Super League appearances this year and he is hoping his first taste of international experience will help him become a regular next season.
“There are a lot of players here who deserved a place in the side but I earned my spot and I’m not sure if a Harlequins player has ever done that in the academy side before,” he said.
“I’m going to take pre-season seriously now. I want to be an 18-year-old Super League player. There aren’t too many of them about but I want to be one of them.”
