Albanian to be extradited from Greece

TIRANA, June 8 – Greek police have arrested Mikel Kendezi, 49, and have already started extradition procedures to bring him to Albania. Interpol Tirana had issued an international arrest warrant for Kendezi after he was sentenced to 11 years imprisonment in 2005 for abduction. In 1997, together with another person, he kidnapped and two greek citizens for 18 days and asked for certain considerable amounts of ransom money. In 2008 the court had also issued an arrest warrant as he was accused of killing a policeman also in 1997.
