TIRANA TIMES EDITORIAL The wise and often misunderstood Albanian diplomat and politician, Mit’hat Frasheri, wrote confidently almost a hundred years ago that “Albanians will win all the battles that the future holds for them once they are done fighting the battle within themselves.” ’ This rings painfully true a century later, as the fragile and toddler-like Albanian democracy is still miserably faltering in its steps.
