Berisha congratulates Turkey’s Erdogan

TIRANA, June 13 – Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha sent a congratulatory message to his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan on his success in Sunday’s parliamentary elections.
The Albanian premier defined Sunday’s elections as a great success for Turkey, Turkish democratic institutions and the Turkish nation.
Berisha said Turkey had become one of the most developed countries in the world, and the Albanian government would cooperate with Erdogan’s new government to boost friendship and good relations in line with the interests of both countries.
The Albanian Prime Minister added that Turkey was a reliable friend and ally for Albania.
Erdogan’s Justice & Development (AK) Party won 49.81 percent of votes in Sunday’s elections, and thus has gained 326 seats at the 550-seat parliament.
