CEFTA to discuss Albania’s membership

BRUSSELS, Oct. 19 – Representatives from the Central European Free Trade Agreement countries convened for a two-day meeting in Brussels with one of the main items being the discussion about new members. Montenegro, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Moldova and Albania are each conducting negotiations to join CEFTA soon. Members of the free trade zone are Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia. The meeting aims at merging in one unit the 31 bilateral agreements that already exist between the participating countries. That is supposed to facilitate the trade regulation and favor the general business climate.
