Commercial Street in Durres closed due to repair works

DURRES, Feb.24- Since Sunday Commercial Street in Durres will be closed due to repair works. This project started in December of last year and had to finish within this month. The municipalities of the city and the police have decided to give a hand to the construction firm by imposing a block on the movement of vehicles. “Though the closing of a 340 m segment will cause traffic problems, the company which has undertaken the project will be able to finish in a more timely way” sources from the municipality explained. ANK is the company which has been allocated 74 million leks from the local administration budget in order to implement this investment. Realized work up until now includes the repair of canalization system as well as a large part of the stone paved sidewalks.
