TIRANA, Jan. 17 – In Albania, Director of the Road Authority Afrim Qà«ndro appeared on Wednesday at the Prosecutor’s Office to provide explanations regarding the race for building a lot of the New Ring road, previously acquired by DH Albania through forged documents.
Qendro confirmed, after leaving the prosecution, the public position held by the institution he leads ever since the DH Albania scandal broke out – that there has been no violation on the government’s part regarding the procedures.
Albanian authorities have repeated that they did not verify the documents of DH Albania because they had no previous suspicions or reason to, although the company was recently-registered, represented by unknown, 26-year-old Avdjol Dobi.
Instead, the company was entrusted with works worth 18 million euros in one governmental tender and almost 12 million in another, also won right after the company’s establishment.
Concerning the second, 12 million euro tender, Manager of the Distribution System Operator Klodian Gradeci also appeared at the Prosecutor’s Office as the man heading the other governmental institution that claims to have been fooled by DH Albania.
Both races were cancelled right after TV show ‘the Unexposed’ made public how US offshore Dunwell Habermann had falsified its founding act and the signature of Delaware’s Secretary of State, enabling its branch DH Albania to win the government tenders by further cheating on procedures which, the Voice of America has alleged were assisted by the government itself.
Further evidence backing up VoA’s allegations are the investigations which point Albanian oligarch Bashkim Ulaj is behind the entire corrupt affair; Ulaj has been an ally of both the socialist and democratic parties in Albania.
