Greek textile companies leave Korca for Macedonia

KORCA, Feb. 6 – The Chamber of Commerce in the southeastern city of Korca appealed to the local citizens to increase their requests for employment at the Greek textile companies that are leaving the area for neighboring Macedonia. There are some 50 small companies producing textile products, mainly Greek ones, and employing some 5,000 persons. But they are finding no new employees and to the moment ten percent of them have already left the city. The lack of regular power supply has been another reason urging the companies to leave the area.
