TIRANA, Oct. 14 – The Japanese government has awarded Albania $4 million in a grant providing environmentally friendly hybrid cars made in Japan powered by two sources an engine that runs on gasoline and a motor that runs on electricity.

The cars expected to arrive in Albania by early 2016 will be provided to Albania’s public administration and are aimed at reducing environment pollution and greenhouse gases.

Depending on the driving conditions, hybrid cars either use only the motor to run or conserve fuel by combining the advantages of both the engine and the motor.
