TIRANA, March 3 – On Tuesday, Kosovo`s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, announced that reciprocity with Serbia is set to happen soon in order to improve the business environment in the country. According to him, Kosovo will behave as an independent state.

“Reciprocity will happen because we have decided to act as an independent state, just as we have declared ourselves. Reciprocity is a value of equality since it is a countermeasure. We need to help local businesses to increase employment and development, ”he said.

Kurti’s statements came as he was attending a workshop organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, where he said all trade barriers with Albania and Northern Macedonia should be removed.

“Economics and justice, work and welfare will be our topics. Other topics will also receive attention, but not completely. Sovereignty and independence only make sense when we exercise them. We would like to have more interaction with Albania. The barriers with Albania transcend our differences in dialect. There are numerous anomalies in our relationships. With Northern Macedonia, we also have obstacles. Kosovo has a negative trade balance with all CEFTA countries, ” he noted.
