Less custom fees this year due to EU lower tariffs

TIRANA, Jan. 3 – Albanian business will have less taxes starting from Jan. 1 because of the temporary agreement with the European Union. It is expected that custom tariffs will be gradually reduced until they become zero by 2011. The government has pledged however it will still increase revenues from taxes that will reach the level of 23.5 percent of the GDP.
