VLORA, Oct. 22 – More than half of the tourists visiting Vlora beaches this summer were daily ones coming from the nearby districts of Fieri, Kucova, Permet, Berat and Lushnja but also from Tirana and Durres. Out of 217,000 tourists this summer in Vlora 125,000 were daily ones. Last year there were 194,000 tourists. The city offered different recreation activities with concerts and singers from all around the country and sports activities like that of the Italian groups. City hall considers this summer more successful in tourism than in past years. They say the time has come to draft long term strategies. Collaboration with tourist operators from other countries could be one of the best ways.
