Media calls on government to avoid software piracy

TIRANA, April.17 – The Albanian government is yet to allocate a special fund in its budge for purchasing legally the software used in its administration computers. Only the newly installed computers have Office programs coming with them while the rest have been installed from unofficial companies. Since the most widely used software is that of Microsoft the government is hurting the business of Bill Gates with whom the Prime Minister Berisha signed a contract this year for significant assistance in IT provision and technology.
