TIRANA, Oct. 18 – The Water Supply and Sewerage Association of Albania started Wednesday the annual national conference with the participation of top government officials, including Prime Minister Sali Berisha. An exhibition with the most important products offered by the major water companies was the opening feature of the event. Berisha spoke about key issues related to the water supply in Albania. The agenda included key proposals related to recent projects about water pollution, the legal framework of water regulations, increased professional capacities of water company staff, etc. The Association was created in 2000 and publishes a quarterly journal “Burimi,” which is also available online.
