TIRANA, July, 7 – The National Territory Adjustment Council approved on Tuesday the construction of two other wind farms, one of which in the southeastern commune of Cerrave, Korca region and the other in Kryevill commune of Kavaja, central Albania.
Prime Minister Berisha, who also chairs the Council, called for measures to eliminate acoustic pollution in the tourist area of Kryevill, where the wind farm, an investment of 144 million euros, will be built.
The Territory Adjustment Council of the Republic of Albania (TACRA) also approved construction permits on 7 small and medium-sized hydropower plants.
A study on the oil terminal in the Porto Romano, Durres was also approved. The project financed by Europetrol Durres Albania is worth 10 million euros and covers 32,000 square metres.
TACRA also approved the design of the regulatory plan of the Vile-Bashtove tourist area as well as partial urban planning studies for implementation of this plan in Gose commune, Kavaja.
Premier Berisha said that one of the biggest tourist projects in the country will be implemented in this area, under a 1.2 billion euro investment. “In the ancient history, Vile-Bashtova has been one of the most important ports and centers for Elbasan and entire central Albania,” said Berisha.
The Project coordinates several elements, such as the use of most beautiful views of the areas, the construction of sports facilities, which will offer accommodation for 30 thousand holidaymakers, including daily tourism. The Premier stressed the fact that arable lands will not affected, due to exploitation of barren lands, re-generating them and turning into one of the most beautiful tourist resorts of the Adriatic coast.
The Premier congratulated the company for the project, as well as local authorities, as a testimony of their iron will for attraction of investments.
A master plan was also approved for the tourist area of Pogradec-Drilon in the southeastern region of Korca.
Premier Berisha called for the respect of Conventions on the preservation of Ohrid Lake, as well as possibility of integration of this area in general master plan of the Lake, which should start from Lin to Tushemisht.
